Lean Manufacturing Specialist jobs in Minnetonka, MN

Lean Manufacturing Specialist assists with the implementation of Lean Manufacturing goals and strategies for improving the operations and processes within the organization. Evaluates all continuous improvement activities and implements plans to optimize performance and processes. Being a Lean Manufacturing Specialist employs Lean methodologies and tools in order to accomplish business objectives. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Lean Manufacturing Specialist also requires training and Lean certification through an accredited organization. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. To be a Lean Manufacturing Specialist typically requires 2 to 4 years of related experience. Gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Document Control Specialist
  • Park Manufacturing Corp.

  • Prepare technical drawings used by production on both prints and harness boards. Review and analyze provided specifications, sketches, drawings, bills of materials, ideas, and related data to assess factors affecting component designs and the procedures and instructions to be followed. Insert and position instructions and comments onto drawings. Modify and revise designs to correct operating deficiencies or to reduce production problems.

    Position Functions:

    • Utilize Auto-Cad, Adobe X, and Excel to complete print packets.
    • Ability to read customer blue prints.
    • Enter label formats into Tagprint for production employees
    • Assemble descriptive harness board/test fixture, including back-wiring when required, allowing for easy assembly by production employees
    • Trouble shoots electrical harness boards and ensures solution.
    • Write and Edit harness board programs in Cirris
    • Ability to complete BOM changes in OSAS
    • Print changes as required per procedure 7400-1
    • Revision changes as required per procedure 7300-1
    • Complete all accompanying documentation
    • Confers with document originators to resolve discrepancies and compiles required changes to documents.

    Education and/or Experience:

    • High school diploma or GED required.
    • A qualified applicant must have proof of previous training or education in a CAD program or equivalent design system.
    • Ability to read and interpret customer blue prints.
    • Minimum of 2 year of production experience
    • Intermediate level Microsoft Office software programs including Word, Excel, and MS Outlook.
    • Must be able to multitask in a dynamic team environment, with little direction, and be detailed oriented with strong organization skills.

    Language Skills:

    • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, forms, and memos.
    • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization, vendors or clients.

    Mathematical Skills:

    • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
    • Ability to properly use common measurement tools such as calipers, rulers, and tape measures. Ability to read blueprints and interpret graphs.

    Reasoning Ability:

    • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to develop and carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form. .
    • Ability to deal with problems in day-to-day situations. Ability to make quick, confident, knowledgeable decisions.

    3Physical Demands:

    • Ability to work while standing.
    • Lifting up to 50 lb. (assistance can be provided due to limited frequency).
    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit or stand, use hands/fingers, to handle or position objects. The employee is often required to stand, walk and stoop; occasionally required to kneel or crouch.
