Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of teaching and/or leadership experience in an educational setting required
- Experience in curriculum development, instructional design, instructional support, or educational leadership preferred
- Knowledge of current educational trends, standards, and best practices

Job Responsibilities: The Teaching and Learning Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating a comprehensive and cohesive scope and sequence for the Episcopal School of Nashville that aligns with the school's mission, standards, and goals. This position plays a key role in ensuring that curriculum is consistently implemented across grade levels and subject areas to support student learning and achievement.
Current Scope and Sequence
- Works with curriculum team to ensure that the current curriculum scope and sequence for PK-8 are appropriately documented
- Creates easily accessible system for scope and sequence organization
Vertical Alignment
- Creates and drives instructional vision in collaboration with teachers
- Owns vertical alignment process by facilitating conversations with teachers across grade levels/divisions
- Completes documents that outline vertical alignment across grades in all subject areas
- Completes documents that clearly communicate instructional vision
Coaching and Collaboration
- Helps teachers create lessons that align with instructional vision
- Coaches teachers on lesson execution (if needed)
- Collaborates with teachers to ensure each grade has engaging and age appropriate units (if needed)
- Feedback to administrative team to ensure consistent implementation of vision
Community and Ongoing Learning Opportunities
- Executes and coordinates instructional Professional Development and ongoing learning opportunities for teachers
- Identifies and build partnerships with other schools in Nashville
- Identifies and recommends appropriate professional development opportunities for teachers
Assessment and Evaluation:
- Works with curriculum team to develop and implement a comprehensive system for assessing student learning outcomes, including formative and summative assessments, standardized testing, and performance-based measures
- Analyzes assessment data to evaluate the effectiveness of the curriculum and identify areas for improvement or adjustment
- Collaborates with school leadership to establish policies and procedures for curriculum evaluation, review, and revision on a regular basis
Reporting Relationships: The Teaching and Learning Coordinator reports to the Head of School of ESN.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
