About the Position: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Community Manager, Under the direction of the Director of Operations, administers and maintains all phases of the apartment community operations in accordance with company policies and procedures. Specific areas of responsibility include renting apartments, collecting and depositing monies, completing operational paperwork, personnel functions, directing all aspects of maintenance (except when a Maintenance Superintendent is assigned), outside contractors, risk management, curb appeal, monitors market conditions, advertising, resident relations and resolves resident issues. Promotes and functions as a team player of property staff and with sister properties.
Experience / Knowledge:
A high school diploma or GED is required. A minimum of two years residential property management or three years residential assistant property management experience. Excellent communication, organizational, leadership and interpersonal skills are required. Marketing, sales and budgeting experience preferred. Ability to follow detailed oral or written instructions and ability to communicate verbally and in writing; supervisory and problem-solving ability. Excellent understanding of applicable Fair Housing laws and standards are required. Demonstrates a professional attitude in every aspect of work.
Licenses/Certifications:
Valid driver's license and good driving record along with auto insurance required. Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) designation preferred.
Office Equipment:
Computer literacy, including experience with computerized property management and/ or accounting software desired. Computer, telephone, credit machine terminal, scanner, facsimile, and photocopier.
