What's in it for you?
Pay Range: $15.00 to $22.00 per hour.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent, and preferred 12 months of legal assistant, paralegal or relative experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must be able to multi-task and to effectively communicate, problem-solve and to overall handle tasks quickly and tactfully with all staff levels and the public. Must be able to adapt to the wide range of diverse internal and external clientele.
Communicates in accordance with, and understanding of, applicable State Bar rules related to protected information, confidentiality, and the unauthorized practice of law. Complies with corresponding company policies and procedures.
Must be able to work in-office as scheduled to meet with clients, attorney(s), and fellow team members as well as to attend training sessions and/or other company meetings better suited for in-person attendance.
Ability to effectively utilize available technology, including computers, databases, portals, and software needed to successfully manage cases.
Maintains excellent customer service and interfaces with providers and team members according to procedure.
Prepares legal and court documents for attorney approval; interfaces with the client on non-legal issues relating to the management of the case; refers legal issues to the appropriate attorney(s).
Assists the attorney(s) with claim summary preparation, and communication with adjusters and clients.
Conducts preparation for legal proceedings; submits appropriate information and legal forms/documents to the appropriate organizations relating to personal injury law; understands forms and procedures relating to field of expertise.
Ability to effectively communicate with clients to uncover pertinent information and data to include updated treatment status, medical information that could impact the case, changes in work status, and records information per operating procedure. Notifies the attorney of any changes, new information, concerns, or issues.
Demonstrates effective critical thinking and problem-solving skills to optimize case management. Investigates, reasons, and collects pertinent information in situations where only limited information may be available.
Orders and processes incoming medical records, bills, and other case related documents in a timely manner and per operating procedure. Notifies the attorney when pertinent records and/or information is received and completes any associated tasks as needed.
Manages and utilizes the task list, maintaining due items within operating procedure.
Processes mail daily and reviews for additional information pertinent to the case(s); determines and records any necessary case notes for items received.
Upon case settlement, confirms balances and expenses; prepares the appropriate settlement documents for review by the Attorney(s) and client(s).
Interfaces with other team members to achieve office and departmental goals; may provide back up to other team members, including but not limited to client meetings and video conferences.
