Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Temporary HR Assistant to join our team for a short term assignment, estimated at 5 months. The successful candidate will support the HR department in various administrative tasks, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of HR processes. This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain valuable experience in Human Resources.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HR database
- Help manage shared inbox to ensure prompt responses to employees
- Assist with performance review process by filing all reviews as received and checking them off the list, and following up on those that are missing
- Assist with background check process by filing all background checks as received and checking them off the list, and following up on those that are missing
- Assist in organizing company events and employee engagement activities
- Support the onboarding process for new hires, including the preparation of orientation materials
- Help to coordinate the onboarding of the summer intern class (est 40 interns)
- Provide support to supplying the office, including organizing office supply storeroom, restocking kitchens when they run low on supplies, ensuring proper name plates are on each door and cubicle
- Provide general administrative support to the HR team, including filing, data entry, and managing phone and email inquiries
- Respond to volunteer inquiries
- Assist with HR projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in an HR administrative role
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
- Strong communication skills, work ethic, flexibility, and teamwork.
- Proficient in Microsoft office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
- Familiar with HR software – knowledge of Paycor is a plus, but not required
- Able to handle confidential information with discretion
- Detail-oriented and proactive attitude

Salary & Benefits Information:
The salary range is $19.00-24.00/hr. Specific salary within the range will be determined by years of experience. An in-person/remote hybrid work option is also available.
