Universal Banking Specialist Overview:

Provide prompt, courteous, efficient, and accurate customer service when processing consumer loan applications, opening new accounts, processing customer banking matters in a retail environment, and promoting bank products in support of First Western Bank & Trust’s sales and service objectives while adhering to the bank’s culture of customer service excellence.

• Exhibit excellent customer service skills by greeting customers in person or on the phone in a timely, courteous, and professional manner
• Properly identify each customer in accordance with bank policy and uphold confidentiality of customer and proprietary information
• Establish and develop solid customer relationships through identifying needs, providing the best solutions for customers, and using cross-sell and referral opportunities
• Represent and promote the bank through community involvement, solicit business and establish new relationships. Provide referrals to company products and services through the recognition of customer’s needs
• Comply and work toward branch goals to achieve and/or exceed branch growth potential
• Provide general banking services to customers and assist with processing consumer loan applications and financial transactions.
• Prepare applicable paperwork and ensure new accounts are properly processed
• Initiate and approve consumer and home equity loan requests up to assigned lending limit
• Open and manage consumer accounts including Individual Retirement Accounts; Health Savings Accounts; checking, savings, money market, certificates of deposit, and safe deposit accounts
• Open and manage business accounts including checking, savings, money market, certificates of deposit, and safe deposit accounts.
  
  

Universal Banking Specialist Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance or the equivalent work experience

Two Years Of Banking Experience Preferred

Knowledge of customer service principles and practices

Universal Banking Specialist Skills/Abilities:

Must be a team player with excellent interpersonal skills, strong written and oral communication skills, active listening skills, and proven customer service skills

Must be detail oriented, able to work under minimal supervision, stay poised under pressure, manage multiple tasks at one time and interact with co-workers and customers in a professional manner
