Additionally, Lending Officer may manage a portfolio of existing loans, including reviewing financial reporting, monitoring compliance with loan terms, and handling loan modifications or workouts. Ensures adherence to regulations, bank credit policies, and procedures. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Lending Officer work is closely managed. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Loan Originator to join our team as an In-House Lender to an active realty firm. As the In-House Lender, you will be responsible for overseeing the loan origination process, ensuring compliance with regulations, and managing a team of loan officers. Your expertise in underwriting, customer service, and financial services will be crucial in driving the success of our loan origination department.Duties:
- Oversee the loan origination process from application to closing, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
- Manage a team of loan officers, providing guidance and support in meeting department goals
- Develop and implement strategies to increase loan origination volume and improve customer satisfaction
- Review loan applications and supporting documentation to determine eligibility and compliance with TILA and Fair Housing regulations
- Collaborate with underwriters to assess creditworthiness and mitigate risk
- Ensure timely communication with borrowers, real estate agents, and other stakeholders throughout the loan process
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to loan origination
- Utilize financial software systems such as Quicken for accurate record keeping and reportingExperience:
- NMLS Licensed
- Proven experience in loan origination or mortgage lending
- Strong knowledge of underwriting principles and practices
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
