Being a Letter of Credit Officer ensures all credit data is evaluated and adheres to bank policies and procedures in order to approve or deny applications. Provides support to lending officers and trade specialists. Additionally, Letter of Credit Officer may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Letter of Credit Officer gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Requirements:- Business Degree or 2 years financial lending experience.
- Knowledgeable in consumer and mortgage lending practices and regulations.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
- Must be able to effectively cross-sell credit union services and products.
- Excellent listening and written/verbal communication skills.
- Proven organizational and multi-tasking skills.
- Proven team player.
- Proficient knowledge of standard office equipment and Microsoft Office.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
