The Emmeci Operator will set up and safely control various machines and equipment involved in the production of rigid box making. 

Shift: 

Monday thru Friday

1:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.  Swing Shift pays a differential of  an additional .50 per hour  

 Possibility of occasional weekends

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Operates production machinery in accordance with prints and specifications.  Assigned machines may include the Mitering Machine and Tying Machine 
• Produces the required quantity of pieces 
• Oversees operation and is responsible for accuracy, quality and efficiency of the entire Emmeci line and the smaller components making up the line. This includes the gluer, wrapper, quad and spotter.
• Identifies defective operation and or product and makes corrections and possible emergency repairs to machines and equipment
• Periodically oils and greases machines and motors on a definite schedule
• Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area and machine
• Inspects equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup and alignment; performs basic and routine adjustments and maintenance
• Breaks out board
• Moves material to designated areas
• Assemble lids onto the bases. This material handling may include bending, inserting, closing, and shaping the paper boxes
• Readies boxes for shipment. This may include packing or wrapping, then labeling the bundles or cartons
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Ability to follow directions and work well in a team
• Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production equipment
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Understanding of and the ability to abide by applicable OSHA and environmental regulations
• Mechanically inclined
• Good communication skills
• Organized with attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Basic mathematical skills

Experience: Related experience a plus but not required

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods working on feet
• Repetitive actions 
• Frequent bending and stooping
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds
• Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines and inspect parts produced
