We are seeking a Librarian to lead our Birth to 5 years Programming and Services. Are you an experienced and motivated public service leader with a heart for people and who takes ownership of your work? If so, then we want you to join our team. This position oversees and sets the vision for Birth to 5yrs programming and services for the library system and coordinates early literacy programming across Siouxland Libraries branches. This position also uses hospitality to perform in-depth library service involving extensive public contact, while leading a team at the Downtown Library. If you possess effective leadership skills and have the passion for coaching and developing a team through goal setting, regular feedback, and fostering positive working relationships, you may be a good fit. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, or related field with a minimum of two (2) years of library experience and demonstrated areas of progressive responsibility; or any such combination of education, experience, or training as may be acceptable to the hiring authority.
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a master’s degree in library science is desirable.
Must be willing to work evenings, Saturdays, and Sundays as required.
Possession of a valid driver’s license is desired.
