Job Description: Circulation Assistant

Location: Chardon, OH, 44024

The Circulation Assistant is responsible for assisting with the circulation of library materials, including checking materials in and out, shelving materials, and assisting patrons with circulation-related questions and issues.

Responsibilities:

• Check library materials in and out using the library's circulation system
• Shelve library materials in their proper locations
• Assist patrons with circulation-related questions and issues
• Process holds and interlibrary loan requests
• Assist with inventory and weeding projects
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Circulation Supervisor.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience working in a library or customer service setting preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
• Successful completion of background check.
