REQUIREMENTS :

• CPR Certification (Mandatory)
• Licensed Physical Therapy (Required)
• Preferred 1-2 years experience in long-term care.
• Good physical and mental health.
• Capability to perform all physical duties of the position, including lifting up to 40 pounds unassisted.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Possess training, knowledge, and experience for general supervision responsibilities.

REPORTING :

The Physical Therapist reports to the Rehabilitation Director.

JOB DUTIES :

• Understanding of physical medicine, physical therapy modalities, anatomy, and physiology.
• Basic knowledge of operating physical therapy machines and their maintenance and repair.
• Administering treatment and rehabilitation services to patients with injuries or disabilities. Conducting exercises for residents.
• Providing treatment under the supervision of the staff Physical Therapist. Adherence to physical medicine practice standards.
• Observing and assessing treatment effects, discussing observations with staff and Physical Therapist.
• Monitoring and documenting resident treatment and responses.
• Assist in developing a teaching plan based on learning needs and evaluating its effectiveness. Involve the family in teaching when appropriate.
