Reporting to the Chief of Staff, the Senior Manager, IT Business Applications is key to the success of Cree Lighting's strategic initiatives, through improving and maintaining key applications that result in secure intelligence, automation and connections that improve Cree Lighting’s internal and external customer experience that forms a foundation of improving sales and profits.
LOCATION: Prefer Racine (Greater Milwaukee area), Wisconsin - 4 days in office, 1 day remote
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Works with IT and company leadership on business strategy / vision from an IT perspective. Develops and communicates a vision and strategic roadmap for the team.
- Leads implementation, maintenance, and support for IT Business Applications team.
- Provides leadership for those involved in the development, design and optimization of Oracle E-business Suite applications and solutions for Order Management, Manufacturing and Logistics systems to include Customer Service, Order to Cash, Pricing Inventory and Warehouse Management, Transportation, Receiving and Shipping functions and ensures integrations with Planning, Manufacturing, Digital/E-Commerce, Analytics/Reporting and Finance.
- Possesses strong business acumen & creates strong business requirement gathering processes that allow for good understanding of business needs.
- Responsible for analysis, proposed selection, modification and upgrades of our ERP and other application software.
- Manages third party on-shore and off-shore enterprise system developers and project support teams
- Provides direction for the effort required to protect the company’s data, tools and information systems.
- Ensures infrastructure architecture standards maximize efficiency and support platform compatibility.
- Selects and develops an efficient, effective, and high performing enterprise IT team & evaluates their performance on regular basis.
- Leads implementation of efficiency-enhancing interfaces and processes.
- Ensures adherence to IT Architecture principles and guidelines.
- Responsible for the health and stability of our key business systems such as Oracle E-business Suite ERP system (OCI experience preferred), MES (Manufacturing) and Salesforce.
- Works cross-functionally with the Senior Manager, IT Infrastructure as a part of the IT Leadership Team, to ensure delivery of IT goals
- Provides thought leadership and project management for major IT initiatives.
- Ensure effective support and feature delivery of IT solutions.
- Consults with business leadership on the most effective use of IT investments.
- Manages responses to incidents and disruptions with regards to all high impact business applications
- Leads continuous improvement campaigns with regards to critical IT capabilities such as disaster recovery and performance tuning.
- Collaborates with technology vendors to leverage best in class applications, technology and processes.
- Manages budget for enterprise systems (Capital and Operating Expenditures).
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree (in computer science, engineering or related field) is required. MBA degree is a plus.
- 15 years’ experience with 3 years progressive leadership in Oracle E-business suite ERP, OCI experience preferred and other Enterprise Systems.
- Work onsite at our Racine, WI headquarters Monday-Thursday, with ability to work remotely on Friday
- Experience with end-to- end business processes in a manufacturing, engineering, and distribution business. Experience in high tech manufacturing is a plus.
- Experience deploying complex business systems and solutions. Proven experience with implementation of global technology applications and enterprise resource planning systems (Including migration to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure).
- Demonstrated project management skills and ability to track and report progress against established milestones, metrics, and deliverables.
- Experience with business continuity planning and disaster recovery plan.
- Transformational leader with experience in change management and organization development.
