Lineman constructs, maintains, and repairs overhead and underground transmission lines. Performs site preparation tasks, including digging holes or trenches, installing anchors, climbing poles, and using equipment like digger derricks, aerial lifts, pulling and tensioning equipment, forklifts, and dump trucks. Being a Lineman installs wire and cable. Follows all safety regulations and procedures. Additionally, Lineman work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions. Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Requires a valid Driver's License. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Lineman works under moderate supervision. Waveguide is looking to hire a full-time telecom lineman crew to work remote and support the state of Vermont with FTTH builds. The Lead Telecom Lineman will function as a foreman and run their own crew. This position will not report to an office every day, but will function remote supporting our customers throughout VT.
