Summary: The System Administrator I, works closely with the System Administration team, IT Manager, and VP IT, and is responsible for planning, creating, implementing, and managing servers and systems to facilitate and support the Credit Union’s vision and strategic plan. The System Administrator I assist in ensuring high levels of uptime and availability, and in addition, evaluates and advises on all technology components, such as software and hardware capabilities for server, systems, and applications.

            Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Install, and configure internal and external facing servers.
• Monitor server and workstation patching programs.
• Assist in managing Microsoft Active Directory Domain Services, Certificate Services, DHCP, Group Policy, and DNS.
• Proactively maintain servers and workstations.
• Administer and support SAN, and VMware technologies.
• Assist in the development and implementation of project plans, risk assessments and contingency plans
• Define and document best practices and support procedures.
• Provide after-hours support for infrastructure related emergencies as well as occasional weekend maintenance as needed.
• Maintain inventory and asset configuration documentation.
• Assist with hardware, telecom and software vendor evaluation, recommendation, and negotiations.
• Carry out special tasks at management's direction.
• Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

Associate’s degree from a college or university; Three years of experience administering Windows-based server infrastructure; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Financial institution experience preferred. Microsoft Certification (MCP) or equivalent certification in relevant programs desired. Basic administrative knowledge of Windows (10/11) and Windows Server (2016/2019/2022). Experience managing enterprise systems and applications. Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
