Our firm specializes in representing policyholders in disputes with Florida first-party homeowner insurance companies. We are looking for a talented individual who is ready to take on the insurance industry and advocate for our clients.
Responsibilities:
1. Legal Representation: Handle all aspects of litigation involving first-party homeowner insurance claims, from case initiation through trial, including pre-litigation negotiations, discovery, motion practice, and court appearances.
2. Client Advocacy: Provide exceptional legal representation to policyholders, ensuring their rights and interests are protected throughout the claims process.
3. Case Management: Manage a caseload of homeowner insurance cases, including strategizing, prioritizing, and meeting deadlines.
4. Legal Research: Conduct legal research and analysis to build strong cases and stay updated on relevant laws and regulations.
5. Trial Work: Trial experience is a significant plus, as you may be responsible for representing clients in court.
6. Collaboration: Collaborate with our team of experienced attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to deliver outstanding legal services.
7. Client Communication: Maintain open and transparent communication with clients, keeping them informed about case developments and options.
8. Business Development: Contribute to the growth of our practice by actively seeking new clients and participating in marketing and networking efforts.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Active license to practice law in the state of Florida.
3. Experience in litigation, with a strong preference for experience in first-party homeowner insurance disputes is a plus.
4. Trial experience is a significant plus.
5. Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
6. Strong negotiation skills.
