In addition, Fraud Program Supervisor analyzes current processes and procedures and makes recommendations to promote more effective operations. Provides training and guidance to new employees. A Loss Prevention Associate ensures a safe environment for customers and employees, and protects the company’s assets. Identifies and reduces sources of loss from internal/external theft in order to reduce/control shrinkage while increasing company profits. Primary responsibilities of a Loss Prevention Associate include the following:
-Watches for customer and employee theft; identifies potential shoplifters and monitors employees for signs of dishonesty.
-Apprehends and detains shoplifters according to law and company directives.
-Completes all loss prevention related paperwork as necessary. Organizes loss prevention files.
-Maintains electronic case log and customer suspicious incident reports.
-Conducts and participates in investigations when requested, including credit card and check fraud.
