Position: Project Manager
Position Overview: We are looking for a detail-oriented and results-driven Project Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of various projects within our organization. The ideal candidate will have proven experience managing manufacturing projects, excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of project management best practices.
Responsibilities:
- Leading the planning and implementation of projects, ensuring that all deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and according to scope.
- Defining project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Developing project plans, schedules, and timelines, and tracking progress against milestones.
- Interfacing with external vendors and internal production areas to ensure projects stay on schedule.
- Identifying and managing project risks, issues, and dependencies, and developing mitigation strategies as needed.
- Coordinating cross-functional teams, including internal departments and external vendors, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Monitoring project budgets, expenses, and resource allocations, and making adjustments as necessary to optimize project performance.
- Communicating project status, updates, and key milestones to customers, stakeholders, and senior management through regular reports and presentations.
- Conducting post-project reviews and evaluations to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, project management, or a related field.
- PMP certification preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in manufacturing project management.
- Proven track record of successfully managing projects from initiation to completion.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Flexibility and adaptability to navigate through ambiguity and changing priorities.
- Experience working in Chattanooga or familiarity with the local business environment is a plus.
