Production Supervisor : Online

In this role you will oversee the bindery department, supervising, mentoring, and coaching employees. They lead a team of bindery operators, ensuring efficient equipment operation, quality standards, and timely task completion.

Responsibilities include training staff in machine setup, managing costs, reducing waste, and supporting continuous improvement.

The role also involves conducting performance reviews, staff development, scheduling, and handling disciplinary actions as needed.

Salary

$60,000-70,000 annually.

Schedule and Hours

Monday through Friday, 6 : 45 am to 3 : 15 pm.

Production Supervisor : Online Duties and Responsibilities

• Team Leadership : Supervise and mentor bindery operators, providing training and support to ensure engagement and performance.
• Production Planning : Collaborate with Production Leads to organize and prioritize jobs based on schedules, customer needs, and deadlines.
• Equipment Operation : Operate and oversee bindery equipment, ensuring proper setup, calibration, and maintenance.
• Quality Control : Monitor and inspect output quality, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Workflow Coordination : Coordinate with prepress, printing, and shipping departments for seamless job handoffs and resource use.
• Continuous Improvement : Identify and implement process improvements, cost reductions, and technology upgrades.

Production Supervisor : Online Qualifications & Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.

Physical Requirements :

• Effective Communication : Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing, with strong interpersonal and listening skills.
• Technical Proficiency : Skilled in or willing to learn Gmail, Google Docs, Excel, TBG Systems, and other software and hardware.
• Physical Stamina : Capable of standing, walking, and operating equipment for extended periods; able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Color Vision : Ability to check color quality of printed materials accurately.
• Measurement Skills : Proficient in reading a ruler to 1 / 16th of an inch and capable of moving around the work area throughout the day.
