A Material Management/Shipping/Receiving Clerk is responsible for all incoming and outgoing material, hardware, supplies and finished parts at Maritech. Performs all work per procedures and work instructions in accordance with our QMS as well as industry best practices.
Job Requirements:
o Assigning Raw Material ID’s, ensuring material is properly labeled before, during and after operations where material is being issued.
o Ensuring material issued forms are processed daily to help keep inventory and job costs accurate.
o Completing all “Material Issue” operations accurately and timely and documenting all required traceability information in the traveler and Job Boss as required.
o Stocking finished parts and issuing/shipping finished parts to work orders as needed.
o Cycle counts for completed parts, customer furnished sample parts, and leading raw material cycle count efforts. (Frequency to be determined but at least quarterly to begin with.)
o Kitting and managing details and sub assembly parts/hardware for assembly jobs.
o Responsible for managing shop supplies and coordinating with office personnel when supplies are low (paper towels/shop towels/shipping supplies, etc.)
o Help with the movement and staging of parts from operation to operation.
o Coordinate with shopfloor/purchasing/leadership team on raw material/hardware needs.
o Assisting with MSC vending machine project ongoing support.
o Package and label shipments per internal procedures, military specifications, industry best practices, work order operations and drawing/PO requirements.
o Deliveries/pick-ups for all local customers
o Load freight deliveries onto trucks as needed, ensuring all requirement paperwork is completed and retained.
o Dropoff to UPS/FedEx as needed for rush shipments
o Documenting any nonconformances per procedures, tagging parts and placing in bond cage, taking pictures, and coordinating with supplier/vendors.
o Ensuring material issue operations are completing required forms to track material usage and return to keep inventory accurate.
o Ensuring certificates of conformance are scanned to the proper location as they are received.
o Unload all incoming freight
o Manages the movement and staging of parts from operation to operation and between buildings.
o Assists with prestaging of raw material and machine tools for CNC operations
o Locate lost or missing work orders.
o Return of excess material
o Body positions: Standing, sitting, kneeling, lifting 50 lbs.
o Body movements: Maneuverability throughout facility, working on a ladder.
o Body Senses: Sight and touch for safety. Ability to read drawings, instruction manuals and machine readouts and dials. Able to hear machine noises to diagnose or monitor processes and communicate with others in the company.
