Machinist jobs in Murrieta, CA
Machinist assembles, repairs, and fabricates parts or components for tools or machines by operating mechanical equipment. Reads and interprets blueprints and design sketches to determine the precise specifications, dimensions, and tolerance levels of the finished product. Being a Machinist selects and operates the appropriate tools to cut, shape, or finish metal, plastic, or composite material. Sets up, services, and maintains equipment to ensure efficient and safe operation. Additionally, Machinist utilizes precision measuring instruments to check the accuracy and quality of machined parts. Assembles parts into sub-units or complete units as necessary. Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Machinist works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Seeking Machinist in the Murrieta area for 1st shift
Schedule: Mon-Thurs 5am-3:30pm
Pay Rate: DOE
Duties and Responsibilities:
Analyzes machining work orders, blueprints, drawings, materials, and other data specifications to perform the necessary calculations; including interpreting geometric dimensioning and tolerances.
Sets-up Multi-axes CNC Lathes with Live Tooling by installing and adjusting tools and workpieces.
Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work pieces, adhering to internal standards.
Maintains batch specifications by observing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
Participates in special projects and performs other duties as required.
Equipment/Software Use:
Multi-axes CNC Lathes with Live Tooling – ( Turning Centers ) CNC Mill experience a plus, but not required CNC Lathes with Live Tooling Fanuc and Mitsubishi Controllers MRP Job Tracking Software
