Job DetailsResponsibilities:
- Program, set up, and operate CNC mills and lathes to produce precision parts according to specified blueprints and designs.
- Adjust machine settings to maintain product quality and consistency, identifying and troubleshooting any issues that arise.
- Perform regular maintenance on machines, tools, and equipment to ensure optimal functionality, safety, and longevity.
- Collaborate with the engineering and design teams to understand product specifications and adjust machining strategies accordingly.
- Use precision tools, machinery, and equipment such as lathe, vertical milling machine, drill press, hydraulic press, chop saw, band saw, grinder, and a variety of cutting tools and equipment.
- Fabricate and modify parts to make or repair machine tools or maintain industrial machines, applying knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, ensuring a safe and clean work environment.
- Continually improve processes for increased efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Machinist/Programmer in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in programming and operating CNC mills and lathes.
- Extensive knowledge of machine operation and maintenance.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent understanding of the properties and handling of metals and other materials.
- Proficient in using precision tools, machinery, and equipment.
- Strong mathematical skills, particularly in geometry and trigonometry.
- A commitment to quality, safety, and productivity.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items and work for extended periods.
- A valid machinist certification will be a plus.
