Maintenance Planner devises plans and programs for routine preventative maintenance and scheduled turnaround events at a plant or production facility. Accurately defines and estimates required work requests and maintains a consistent tracking system for work orders. Being a Maintenance Planner develops inspection and survey procedures to ensure an effective preventative maintenance system. Works closely with technicians, engineers, operations, and managers to establish a schedule of proactive maintenance activities during appropriate downtime. Additionally, Maintenance Planner utilizes planning and scheduling methods to ensure the most effective and least disruptive maintenance possible. Typically uses a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for tracking and planning maintenance. Monitors spare parts inventory to ensure availability of required parts. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. May require a Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) certification. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Maintenance Planner work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Job Description :
The main purpose of the role is to coordinate, plan and schedule all facilities, maintenance and calibration activities.
This role will work with the facilities and maintenance supervisors, supply chain and operations to ensure all preventive maintenance, facilities and calibration activities are completed per schedule and without impacting the production supply.
Main responsibilities :
Perform the planning, estimating, scheduling and organizing of facilities, maintenance and calibration activities.
Act as the contact point for planned activities including preventive maintenance, facilities, shutdowns, calibration and other activities with engineering, supply chain and operations.
Balances resource utilization and assigns resources accordingly.
Participate in weekly planning meetings with Supply Chain and Operations.
Monitor and maintain Maintenance Key Performance Indicators.
Conducts field checks to ensure accuracy of planning activities.
Perform change control for updates to equipment and maintenance documentation.
Performs and monitors equipment status changes, including new equipment identification and logging.
Enters, updates, and maintains Equipment Configurations for compliance.
Requirements : Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Industrial / Mechanical / Electrical) up to 3 years of experience.
