Maintenance Planner devises plans and programs for routine preventative maintenance and scheduled turnaround events at a plant or production facility. Accurately defines and estimates required work requests and maintains a consistent tracking system for work orders. Being a Maintenance Planner develops inspection and survey procedures to ensure an effective preventative maintenance system. Works closely with technicians, engineers, operations, and managers to establish a schedule of proactive maintenance activities during appropriate downtime. Additionally, Maintenance Planner utilizes planning and scheduling methods to ensure the most effective and least disruptive maintenance possible. Typically uses a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for tracking and planning maintenance. Monitors spare parts inventory to ensure availability of required parts. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. May require a Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) certification. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Maintenance Planner work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Are you looking to join a pioneering manufacturer working at the forefront of their market, operating a leading edge, high tech plant operating in a highly autonomous Maintenance Planner position.
In this position you will work collaboratively with engineering and maintenance teams across a broad range of projects, you will plan maintenance, optimize maintenance productivity through effective scheduling methods, have key accountability for spare parts, work planning as well as manage and update SAP information related to maintenance.

The Position:
- Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams on a variety of improvement projects across the high tech plant
- Plan and optimize maintenance through effective short-term and long-term scheduling
- Responsible for managing and updating SAP regarding maintenance
- Accountable for spare parts, work scheduling, review inspections and coordinate labour contractors

The Person:
- Maintenance Planner or Scheduler
- Preferable experience in chemical manufacturing, pulp & paper, packaging or rotating equipment
- Must have knowledge of SAP
