Major Gifts Manager jobs in Lexington, KY
Major Gifts Manager manages and implements a philanthropic gift program to nurture and solicit relationships with corporate, institutional, and major donors. Develops a portfolio of existing and potential donors and a strategy to enhance and extend relationships to generate philanthropic revenue. Being a Major Gifts Manager organizes events and meetings with prospects to raise awareness of the organization's mission and highlight accomplishments and ongoing funding needs. Makes regular personal contact with key contributors to strengthen relations with the organization. Additionally, Major Gifts Manager oversees proposal preparation and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Major Gifts Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Major Gifts Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required. 2. Complete the Criminal Aubse and Neglect (CAN) Registry Check (Cost $10.00)
Follow these instructions at https://www.fcps.net/cms/lib/KY01807169/Centricity/Domain/2296/CAN_registry.pdf
to complete the CAN Registry check. Email your receipt to the FCPS Application Center at
fcpsappcenter@fayette.kyschools.us to be placed into pending status. Submit the results within
30 days to the same email address to become fully approved.
3. Register as a contractor at https://dna.fcps.net/contractors. This will allow issuance of an FCPS email and badge.
4. Schedule an appointment to have your contractor badge photo taken. Please bring a photo ID
