Managed Care Coordinator jobs in New York

Four Winds Hospital is seeking a full-time Managed Care Coordinator.

• This position reports to the hospital Managed Care leadership to ensure the hospital captures and maintains current information regarding the insurance, benefits available, admissions, concurrent and retrospective review requirements and other pertinent information concerning the third party payer on each patient.
• The Coordinator also carries out other administrative functions to support implementation of Managed Care contractual requirements.
• Successful applicant must possess an A.S. or A.A.S. degree in a business or health related discipline from an accredited college or university, or an equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a hospital environment; managed care and insurance benefits experience preferred.
• Ability to follow, read and interpret insurance information, ability to shift priorities, demands and timelines; demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, multi-task and work with deadlines; well-developed interpersonal and communication skills experience with Electronic Medical Records preferred and strong customer focus.
