IT Consulting Services Delivery Manager - Managed Services Provider (MSP)

One of southern California’s premier Managed Service Providers (MSP) is seeking an IT Consulting Services Delivery Manager to oversee the IT Infrastructure Consulting Engineering Team from our Irvine, CA office.

As an ideal candidate you will have 7 years as an IT Consulting Services Delivery Manager in the MSP domain. As the Consulting Services Delivery Manager, you will lead a team of IT Infrastructure Engineers assigned to mid-size enterprise organizations in which the client relationships are cultivated through a collaborative team approach between the assigned engineer and yourself.

You will manage and maintain a framework that enables the team to create deep partnerships with our clients through the creation of IT strategic roadmaps and the bringing of those roadmaps to fruition by utilizing the project management methodologies as defined by the Project Management Office (PMO) team.

On most occasions you will be managing the client assigned engineer doing the execution. On a few occasions you will do the execution.

Your strong leadership and organizational skills as well as the like for dynamic environments with high delivery and quality demands will enable you to succeed in this role.

Responsibilities

Team Management:

• Manage and maintain the team’s processes and workflows.
• Manage team task assignments and priorities.
• Conduct weekly team and one-on-one staff meetings.
• Provide staff members with Key-Performance-Indicators (KPI’s) that track their meeting of key goals, SLA’s and other expectations.

Client Relationship Management:

• Co-lead client relationships with assigned team members.
• Drives client satisfaction through ensuring their needs and expectations are understood and met.

Business Development:

• Directly/Indirectly interface with client executives, IT management, and end-users to define business, financial, and operational requirements.
• Assist the sales team in creation of contracts, SOW’s, and any other activities in pursuit of new business.

Project Management:

• Understand and utilize the project management methodology as defined by PMO team.
• Manage a portfolio of assigned technology projects aligned with each client’s goals.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Facilitate project planning, risk management, resource allocation, and project closure.
• Effectively manage, document, and communicate project risks.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Liaise between the broader organization within Alvaka.
• Coordinate transition to production.
• Report and escalate project status to IT management and relevant committees.
• Provide management Key-Performance-Indicators (KPI’s) of the teams overall meeting of key goals, SLA’s and other expectations.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• 7 years of progressive business systems and project management experience.
• Technology certification(s) such as MCSA, MCSE, CCNA, CCNP are strongly preferred.
• PMP or similar project management certification strongly preferred.
• ITIL certification or similar IT Framework certification strongly preferred.

• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication, research, analytic, and documentation skills.
• Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $110,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
