    Position Overview

    As the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) for the West region, you will be an integral part of our collaborative commercial organization. You will work closely with Marketing, other RSMs, and Inside Sales Representatives (ISRs) to manage and grow revenue for our crossarm and light pole brands at electric utility customers in the West. This role involves managing a network of manufacturers' representatives and establishing and maintaining relationships with existing end-users and distributors to drive profitable sales revenue. You will also support pricing analysis and proposal generation in cooperation with Marketing and Business Management.

    This role reports to the Sales Director for the Midwest but will also work closely with various teams including Marketing, Business Management, Operations, Finance, Procurement, and Applications Engineering.     Key Responsibilities

    Account Management

    Maintain and grow business at existing customers.

    Provide direction and set expectations for Manufacturer's Representatives.

    Facilitate engineering discussions and product recommendations for customers.

    Cultivate long-term relationships with end-users and distributors.

    Communicate our value propositions effectively to customers.

    Train and support agents to understand and communicate our value propositions.

    Pricing and Forecasting

    Review margins and competitive positioning to price accounts effectively.

    Propose and manage customer pricing under a defined Delegation of Authority.

    Manage quarterly forecasting and usage projections at accounts.

    Collaboration with Inside Sales Representatives

    Work with ISRs to manage order entry and quote requests for customers.

    Assist in complex order scheduling and expedite requests.

    Identify customers needing safety stock or custom service agreements.

    Territory Support

    Track and meet KPIs for sales volumes and margins within the territory.

    Support the Sales Director in mobilizing resources for key accounts and projects.

    Build trusted relationships with peers in Engineering, Operations, Procurement, Scheduling, and Finance.

    Required Skills And Experience

    Strong ability to build cross-functional relationships and understand customer value.

    Experience navigating the complex value chain in the electrical utilities sector.

    Successful cross-departmental collaboration skills.

    2-5 years of successful experience in Sales, Marketing, or Engineering within an industrial or manufacturing company.

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    Strong analytical skills for reviewing pricing and margin data.

    Understanding of forecasting techniques and practical analysis.

    Proficiency in MS Office, especially MS Excel.

    Bachelor's degree in business or engineering-related fields required.

    Knowledge Of The Utility Industry Preferred, But Not Required.

    Physical Work Conditions

    Majority of time spent at a desk, using a computer and phone.

    Based in our Stewartville, MN headquarters; remote home-office based locations acceptable.

    Moderate domestic travel required (30-50%).
