Manufacturing Cost Accountant jobs in Kenner, LA

Location: Covington, LA Hours M-F 8 am to 5 pm Reports to: Controller
Primary Responsibilities:

• Maintaining cost accounting system, including standard cost calculations, inventory analysis, and

• Utilize the ERP system to gather and analyze cost data, including product costs, labor costs, overhead

• Continually work with accounting team to improve and streamline accounting processes
• Assisting in the preparation of the annual budget and rolling forecasts for cost of goods

Qualifications & Requirements:

• At least 3 years of cost accounting or senior accounting level responsibilities, preferably in a process

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• CPA or CMA or other relevant certification preferred, not required.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Strong understanding of financial andmanagerial accounting principles
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Knowledge or willingness to learn relevant sections of the internal revenue code pertinent to related
