  • We are currently looking to add a Manufacturing Engineer to our team in St. Cloud, MN.   In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and completing process improvement projects and key initiatives at the plant level using Lean Practices, Six Sigma tools and Project Management. This position is also responsible for identification, installation, operation, and maintenance of automated equipment to support manufacturing. In addition to writing and performing validations on equipment as needed.

     

    What can I expect in this role?

    This is a full-time salaried exempt position working Monday through Friday 8am - 4:30 pm.

     

    Some key duties in this role include:

    • Lead new equipment identification, ROI, procurement, IQ, OQ, PQ, and training.
    • Write and perform equipment validations on equipment.
    • Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation.
    • Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
    • Lead continuous improvement projects aligned to lean manufacturing principles.
    • Work closely with production supervisors, team leads, and production employees to perform problem solving and root cause analysis.
    • Actively analyze and recommend ways to improve equipment and processes to impact overall quality, productivity, capacity, lead times and cost.
    • Performs analysis including data analytics, simulation, and time and motion studies, recommends manufacturing line improvements.
    • Participate in teams focused on developing new products and processes with specific emphasis on design for manufacturability.
    • Keeping projects within budget and timelines to meet company specifications.
    • Participate in productivity improvement studies such as cycle time reduction and increasing throughput and implementation in related to effective and efficient use of assets and production processes. May provide cost analysis and return on investment calculations associated with project selection.
    • Evaluate key manufacturing processes (benchmarks/best practices) and develop plans to identify opportunities for improvement.
    • Work with site leadership to identify and validate cost savings opportunities.
    • Actively participate in operations and technology strategic planning to ensure new product development and manufacturing process changes are being optimized and designed for manufacturability.

    Here is what we are looking for:

    • Four-year degree in Industrial, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering required.
    • 3 years previous related experience and/or training preferred.
    • Lean Manufacturing experience preferred.
    • Able to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously using various tools and methods.
    • Demonstrated success leading project teams preferred.
    • The ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
