Key Responsibilities
Hartzell Engine Technologies seeks a Manufacturing Services Engineer to support operations for new, rebuilt, and overhauled components for aerospace applications. The selected candidate will be responsible for support and continuous improvement of manufacturing and assembly performance through collaborative initiatives and efforts aimed at improving quality and optimizing our use of facilities, processes, machines, tooling, and equipment. All activities are performed in compliance with FAA regulations.
Key Deliverables of Position
· Designs, revises, documents, and configuration manages operational processes.
· Designs, revises, and configuration manages operational process documentation.
· Monitors Engineering Change Orders and equivalent changes for required creation of and/or revision to operational processes and process documentation. Notifies and works collaboratively with operations management to create operational processes and documents and/or revise them.
· Monitors, troubleshoots, and optimizes operational processes to ensure safety, reduce defects, improve quality, improve capability, eliminate waste, and improve efficiency.
· Designs, draws, and/or procures required technology, equipment, tooling, and fixtures.

Requirements
Required Education and Experience
BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Minimum 5 years manufacturing experience in a manufacturing and/or assembly environment
Required Technical Competencies
· Work holding/assembly fixture design
· Read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
· Material characteristics (Aluminum, Steel, Elastomers, etc.)
· Work holding/fixturing to insure Safe and efficient assembly methods
Preferred Technical Competencies
1) Experience with aviation quality management systems ( AS9100) and the FAA regulatory system
2) Experience creating Process FMEAs and Control Plan development
3) Process and layout optimization
4) Knowledge of inspection tools and techniques
5) Team facilitation skills
