Production Supervisors are required to successfully complete 3-6 months of technical training provided by Silgan Containers. This will include writing reports, and discussions with plant management to understand can/end manufacturing processes and equipment.

What you'll do:

• Train personnel, apply written safety procedures, observe work areas for safety improvements, and learn investigative processes.

• Apply SPC principles and basic quality tools.

• Train procedures, manage equipment, and maximize production throughout.

• Learn factory organizations, enforce SOP's, and review standard reporting.

• Develop and mentor employees and direct and assign work.

• Administer Labor contracts in union plants.

• Personal inspection of workforce, material usage, and production.

• Analyze reports.

We need you to have:

• High school diploma or GED, Associate/Bachelor's degree preferred

• 2 years of relevant work experience

• 1 year of supervisory experience

• Solid technical and mechanical aptitude

• Excellent communication, including both written and oral

• Statistical and computer knowledge

• Problem-solving and visual mechanic skills (blueprints and descriptions)
