The basic function of the Manufacturing & Production Manager is to provide leadership, guidance and support for the manufacturing personnel and to oversee the manufacturing and staging of materials for work orders and to ensure the company and its employees operate in a safe manner and to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. The Manufacturing & Production Manager will supervise and direct shop personnel, will order materials, verify special order materials, provide training and maintain the company’s safety program. A Production Schedule is to be maintained and affected by assignment of labor, material, equipment and/or other resources for the highest quality and productivity attainment goals. He/She will review and maintain the control of inventory and direct the organization of the yard and shop. Additionally, the shop is to be in a layout format for safety, for personnel performance and equipment operation; proper preventive maintenance of equipment and tooling is also required.
