Manufacturing Manager plans, schedules, and manages one or more manufacturing production processes. Incorporates organization-wide operational safety, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and cost control policies and programs into manufacturing processes. Being a Manufacturing Manager monitors production metrics, responds to and resolves problems. Assists with planning and directing an efficient layout of equipment and flow of materials. Additionally, Manufacturing Manager collaborates with leaders to manage and resolve workforce or labor issues and develop solutions. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Manufacturing Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. The Assembly Department Manager will schedule employees, maximize efficiencies and meet production times requirements. The successful candidate for the Assembly Department Manager position will have:
· A minimum of 5 years of Assembly experience,
· 3 years of experience in successfully managing 6-12 other employees,
· Technical expertise to operate and maintain assembly equipment,
· A history of problem solving which expanded production capacity and improved products quality,
· Outstanding organization skills,
· Be able to prioritize,
· History of holding others accountable,
· A proven history of meeting production schedules,
· A successful history of planning future work,
· Proven blueprint reading skills,
· Excellent ability to read and understand specifications written in English,
· Outstanding written and oral communication skills,
· A team player mentality,
· Proven record of decision making that build value for their employer.
