Production Manager- Manufacturing

Principal Manufacturing is seeking a Production Manager to join our team in Broadview, IL. As a leader in fineblanking, conventional stamping and plastic injection molding, Principal Manufacturing sets itself above the competition.

Production Manager manages and coordinates activities of associates engaged in sanding, grinding, machining, valve cell, assembly, and quality inspection of parts to ensure parts are defect free before shipping to customer.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals, inventory requirements, staffing requirements, work procedures, and duty assignments, while considering budgetary limitations and time constraints.
• Interpret and communicate specifications, blueprints, job orders, and company policies and procedures for associates.
• Oversee the training and development of team members in regard to safety, machine operation and company procedures.
• Interpret and communicate company policies and procedures for supervisors.
• Review processing schedules and production orders to make decisions concerning inventory requirements, staffing requirements, work procedures, and duty assignments, while considering budgetary limitations and time constraints.
• Set and monitor product standards, examining samples of raw products or directing testing during processing, to ensure finished products are of customer required quality expectations.

Required Skill/Knowledge:

• Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of products.
• Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
• Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook and ERP systems
• 5 years' previous experience in a high-volume manufacturing company.
• Bilingual English and Spanish
• Associate's degree and/or 10 years' experience as a production supervisor
