This has led us to see a variety of fabrication projects in the petrochemical and agribusiness, primarily in the Gulf South United States. Our projects have included process equipment, structural steel, miscellaneous steel, lifting devices, tank parts, and specialty construction equipment.
Point Solitude is a small, young company with significant potential and is experiencing growing pains. The creation of this position is expected to strengthen the operations management aspect of the company.
This is an Entry Level position. You will be set on track to become a Shop Project Manager. In general, these responsibilities are estimating projects and managing them through the shop as jobs. You will be expected to execute jobs from beginning to end, starting with the “RFQ” stage all the way through to shipping and final invoice. You will work with others to get this done. Your specific responsibilities will include estimating, job execution planning, job kickoff, drawing procurement, material procurement, scheduling, client coordination, problem resolution, and job oversight as it moves through the shop. You will coordinate routinely with others in matters such as material procurement, document control, cost control, shipping, invoicing, estimating assistance, and drawing development. Your direct report will be the General Manager while primary in-house interfaces will be the Shop Floor Staff, Designers, QC, and the Owner.
