Manufacturing Manager plans, schedules, and manages one or more manufacturing production processes. Incorporates organization-wide operational safety, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and cost control policies and programs into manufacturing processes. Being a Manufacturing Manager monitors production metrics, responds to and resolves problems. Assists with planning and directing an efficient layout of equipment and flow of materials. Additionally, Manufacturing Manager collaborates with leaders to manage and resolve workforce or labor issues and develop solutions. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Manufacturing Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Description
The Advanced Manufacturing Technician is responsible for performing a variety of manufacturing processes to convert raw materials into finished products. The AMT is expected to be proficient in soldering, resistance welding, punching, potting, trimming, inspection, testing, measuring, wire stripping, cutting, laminating, bonding, baking, crimping, etc. The AMT follows directions from the call leader and the AME Manager. The AMT is expected to read and understand Birk specifications as well as customer prints. The AMT utilizes general best practices to manufacture high quality products from the prototype stage to production. The AMT is expected to adapt while learning based competencies with the goal of being semi-independent and requiring minimal direction to complete complicated tasks.
