SUMMARY OF JOB

Assist with preparing and monitoring Community Development Block Grants (CDBG) and Rural Economic Action Program (REAP) applications and grants.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Assist Community Development Director with preparation of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and Rural Economic Action Program (REAP) grant applications.

2. Assist in the administration and monitoring of CDBG and REAP grants.

3. Other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

None

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

General reading, math, communications, and computer skills. Understanding of municipality government, infrastructure, procurement, and budget processes (city, town, and county). Understanding of state and federal grants. Previous experience with CDBG, state and/or federal grant programs is preferred. Plan writing experience is a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to perform the essential job functions consistently safely and successfully with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards. Ability to maintain regular punctual attendance consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards. Must be able to lift to 25 pounds. Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Must possess a valid driver’s license.
