The Ohio Valley Farmers' Market has an opening for an on-site manager for our Saturday Market located in Bellaire Ohio. Duties include but are not limited to the following:
Setting up the Market each Saturday (June-October)
Overseeing market tent and children's activities
Managing SNAP transactions
Organizing vendors, collecting fees
Co-coordinating all planned activities with the Marketing and Program Manager
Conducting surveys
Qualified candidates need to have an outgoing personality, a passion for promoting and growing the farmers' market and local food movement, enjoy working with children, have great organizational and people managements skills, and be able to do some heavy lifting (50 lbs min).
A couple additional hours during the week will be necessary to organize and prepare for Saturday. A maximum of two paid time-off Saturdays are permitted during the season.
There is also an opening at our Tuesday market location at the Ohio Valley Mall. More information is available to candidates interested in overseeing Tuesday's market which has fewer responsibilities.
