SUMMARY: The Marketing Specialist provides assistance to the community banks and/or assigned lines of business in all aspects of marketing, promotions, advertising bank services, events, and reports. Based on analysis, the incumbent recommends marketing objectives and goals for assigned area. The incumbent ensures that necessary materials and advertisements are purchased and available when needed. The incumbent must have a good understanding of all departments and products of the bank.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Support the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) efforts of the market by supporting the Marketing Manager in identifying opportunities, helping with events and documenting the CRA qualifications for local organizations that are reported to Bank Group Compliance.
2. Analyze market sectors and develop strategies that are consistent with the Arvest Brand. Each strategy should be consistent with the goal of increasing households, services per household, and market share. May oversee budget designated for this sector. Collect information for all assigned sectors for various reports, including board report.
3. Support community bank management by reviewing and responding to contribution and sponsorship requests for the assigned area. May also work with the local community to secure affinity debit card affiliations including contracts and card set up.
4. Manage multiple projects and deadlines. Organize and conduct events such as cookouts, sports suites, financial literacy, seminars, fundraisers and sales rallies as needed. Tasks may include securing a venue, obtaining Compliance approval, requesting marketing materials, recruiting volunteers, and managing event budget. Work with local vendors such as media and printing. Coordinate the local bank efforts in bank-wide promotions such as Million Meals and We Love Teachers. May also manage local market Max or community page.
5. Support the Marketing Manager in the oversight of the marketing budget by reviewing and researching monthly financial reports. This may include coding and submission of invoices, as well as setting up new vendors. May direct autonomous/community bank budgets, as directed by Marketing Manager.
6. Gather information for press releases and social media such as target audience, message and photos as needed for a job request and complete request in WorkFront software. Collect bios and schedule photos for associate and submit request for associate press releases through WorkFront. May write press releases for other needs, which may be in conjunction with a public relations firm. Ensure that all associate photos used for advertising meet the Arvest Photography Guidelines. Collect and file media releases for associates and non-associate/children in S drive as assigned.
7. Order and distribute print materials for branches and lines of business. Request marketing materials through WorkFront system, such as Promotional Marketing Kits (PMKs), items from Advertising Catalog or custom requests. Manage the branch digital advertising for marquees and lobby screens, as well as the phone hold messaging. Order brochures and various other items through purchasing system (Connect/Lawson) or local vendors as needed.
8. Ensure that compliance requirements are achieved for all marketing materials including materials produced in Centralized Advertising and locally. Complete Compliance Only review of locally produced ads in WorkFront. Ensure that all marketing materials are tracked for compliance market methodology.
9. Manage and oversee premium items. This will include purchasing, inventory control and distribution of items.
10. Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties. This includes but is not limited to; complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls; report any known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations and report any suspicious customer and/or account activity.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
May directly supervise 1 or more associates as assigned by the Manager. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Ensure direct reports have completed required compliance training and are adhering to all internal procedures and controls as it relates to bank policy, laws, regulations and Arvest’s BSA/AML Program. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, appraising performance, rewarding, and disciplining associates. The incumbent has the authority and the appropriate influence to make recommendations regarding hiring, firing, advancement, promotion, or any other change of status of other associates within the guidelines of the bank’s procedures and guidelines for such change of status events. The incumbent provides training, planning, assigning, and directing work assignments and schedules; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
