Marketing Director directs marketing objectives, strategies, programs, and policies for all products and services for the organization. Translates the overall marketing vision into integrated business plans, tactics, projects, and deliverables. Being a Marketing Director oversees critical marketing functions, including market research, communications, and product planning. Utilizes technology and data to Identify changes in the competitive environment and enable responsive marketing activities. Additionally, Marketing Director develops budgets, resources, and teams to execute short-term and long-term marketing plans. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Marketing Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Marketing Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     Role Overview

    Velocity is seeking an experienced Marketing Director who will head our omnichannel approach to marketing and brand building. Your success will be dependent on the ability to bring qualified leads while also shaping and growing the company’s brand presence. You will have significant autonomy, be well resourced, and have a great team. In return you will need to lead your team effectively, create compelling campaigns, and show clear metrics to leadership.


    As our Marketing Director, you'll be:

    • The brand architect: Craft a high-impact marketing strategy and narrative that propels Velocity to new heights. Develop and execute integrated campaigns across all channels, ensuring consistent messaging and a cohesive brand experience.
    • Digitally Confident: Have mastery of the digital landscape with command over digital marketing strategies. Implement up to date techniques in SEO, SEM, PPC, social media, and content marketing.
    • Experiential Marketer: Craft and manage strategic partnerships and experiential events with the community and customers. This includes working with celebrity influencers, other brands, and all at various shows or events.
    • Driven by Data: Analyze marketing data to measure campaign effectiveness and make data-driven decisions. Translate industry trends into actionable insights for design, production, and sales teams.
    • On the Team: As a valued leader in our organization, you will sit at the leadership table providing strategic marketing insights, helping to solve cross functional problems, and finding new opportunities.  

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and execute a comprehensive brand marketing strategy that positions Velocity Restorations as the premier brand for exquisitely restored, modernized classic cars.
    • Profit and Loss accountability for the Marketing department.
    • Craft compelling marketing campaigns across various digital channels (SEO, SEM, social media) to generate qualified leads and brand awareness among affluent audiences.
    • Deep understanding of the digital marketing landscape, including analytics and attribution modeling, to measure campaign effectiveness and ROI.
    • Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer needs and translate them into targeted marketing initiatives.
    • Partner with internal teams (design, sales, leadership) to ensure brand consistency across all touchpoints.
    • Coordinate and manage relationships with external agencies.
    • Gather, investigate, and summarize market research, staying abreast of competitor positioning and industry trends.
    • Growing and developing the in-house marketing team and building a network of reliable external agencies and marketing professionals.
    • Staying current in the collector car industry by attending educational opportunities, conferences, and workshops, reading publications, and maintaining personal and professional networks.

    Education and Experience

    • College degree in related field preferred
    • 5 Years minimum experience in marketing


    Physical Demands (to include but not limited to)

    • Must be physically able to operate a variety of equipment including computers, office equipment, telephone, cameras, lighting, etc.
    • Ability to travel frequently.
    • Must be comfortable speaking in front of groups and attending networking events.
    • Sit for long periods working at a desk, boardroom table, or a computer.
    • Walk long distances across the shop floor to communicate and gather information as needed.
    • Must be able to navigate through various departments of the organization’s physical premises.
    • Ability to lift, carry, and place items up to 20 pounds without assistance.
    • Occasional reaching overhead and below knees, including squatting, bending, stooping, kneeling, and twisting.
