Purpose:
Cahaba Medical Care is committed to providing quality healthcare to underserved communities, and we are seeking a Marketing Specialist with a passion for service and health equity to help us promote our mission through effective marketing strategies. The Marketing Specialist will be responsible for project management, graphic design, website development, search engine optimization (SEO), and creating marketing collateral that speaks to the unique needs of underserved communities. The ideal candidate will have a degree in marketing, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Collaborate with the Marketing Manager and Community Development Director to execute marketing plans that promote access to quality healthcare for underserved communities
Manage marketing projects from inception to completion, ensuring deadlines are met and deliverables are of high quality
Design marketing materials, including print materials, digital content, and social media graphics, that are aligned with our mission and appeal to our target audience
Develop and maintain website content, ensuring that the website is user-friendly, visually appealing, and optimized for search engines
Conduct SEO research and analysis to ensure website content is optimized for search engines and improve website ranking
Take photos for marketing purposes and maintain a photo library that represents the diversity of the communities we serve
Work with the Marketing Manager to promote brand awareness through marketing efforts that reflect our commitment to social justice and health equity
Manage our waiting room patient communication platform (Relevant TV)
Communicate marketing plans, campaign results, and project recommendations to the Marketing Director and senior management team
Other duties as assigned by the Marketing Manager
Work closely with the community development team
Create and execute lead generation programs
Analyze data to determine campaign efficiency
Ensure creative marketing materials undergo regular review and adhere to brand guidelines
Develop and implement marketing plans
Ability to create marketing analysis/ report
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, graphic design, or related field
1-2 years of marketing experience in a healthcare setting, preferably serving underserved communities
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva and Google Suite
Working knowledge of web design tools such as WordPress, Squarespace, or Wix
Experience with SEO and analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, SEMrush, or Moz
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on cultural competency, health literacy, and a passion for serving underserved communities and promoting health equity
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Loves to learn
Highly organized and detail oriented
Photography skills and experience in using photo editing software
Project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
Familiarity with project management tools such as Asana, Trello, Basecamp or Wrike
Marketing degree preferred, but not required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Highly organized and detail oriented
Strong admin component
Physical Requirements:
This position may require standing, walking, bending, and sitting for extended periods of time. The employee may also need to lift or move up to 30 pounds.
Work Environment:
This position will primarily work in an office environment but may be required to travel between health centers, attend community events and other offsite meetings. As a member of our mission-driven team, the Marketing Specialist will help us promote health equity and social justice in our communities.
