Title: Material Handler

Job Type: Full-time

Job Summary: We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Material Handler to join our team. The Material Handler will be responsible for performing a variety of manual labor tasks within a warehouse environment, including receiving, storing, and moving materials, as well as preparing orders for shipment. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a warehouse or similar environment, be physically able to lift and move heavy objects, and have strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Receive and unload incoming shipments, checking them in against purchase orders to ensure accuracy
  
• Store materials in designated areas within the warehouse, ensuring that they are properly labeled and organized for easy retrieval
  
• Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, to move materials within the warehouse
  
• Pull and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring that the correct products are loaded onto trucks and ready for delivery
  
• Conduct inventory counts and report discrepancies to management
  
• Keep the warehouse clean and organized, performing regular cleaning and maintenance tasks as needed
  
• Assist with loading and unloading trucks as needed
  
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, including wearing personal protective equipment when handling materials and operating equipment
  
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management
  

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
  
• Previous experience working in a warehouse or similar environment
  
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and stand for extended periods of time
  
• Ability to operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
  
• Strong organizational and communication skills
  
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  
• Forklift certification preferred but not mandatory
