Applies knowledge of material science to recommend engineering and manufacturing changes to attain design objectives in the most economical manner possible. Being a Materials Engineer reviews blueprints and specifications to determine the appropriate materials needed to achieve successful completion of initiatives. May require a bachelor's degree in engineering. Additionally, Materials Engineer typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Operate forklift and other company vehicles and equipment as trained and instructed. Frequent heavy lifting 100lbs Must be able to pass a drug test Works well in a team environment Conform to all safety rules and regulations of the Company and OSHA standards. Must attend and participate in all required meetings in relation to material delivery and overall company Additional training such as Forklift, and other specified equipment may be required. Display leadership and may be requested to direct and supervise within their department. Basic understanding and knowledge of operation of a forklift and other equipment.
