    Position Overview

    The Operating Companies (OpCo) at Summit Materials is looking to offer a great development opportunity to high potential leaders who are passionate about the construction industry. In this role you will gain an in-depth understanding of various areas of our operations, enabling an accelerated path in your career within Summit. Our local Operating Companies will be able to provide local industry insight, share best practices, mentor and train you through day to day tasks including equipment operation and maintenance, QC/QA testing, and project management. The Operating Companies are committed to ensuring customer loyalty, you’ll be able to see firsthand how these partnerships are formed, managed, and create our success in the field. Within this position, you are also offered opportunities to develop leadership skills and see how Summit has gained success. You will have opportunities to see multiple Operating Companies to gain additional knowledge through on site visits.

    Summit Materials was formed in 2009 to acquire and grow heavy-side building materials companies in the aggregates, ready mixed concrete, cement, asphalt paving and construction industries.     Process

    Your application will be reviewed by both OpCo leadership and Summit leadership. During the application it will be requested that you provide your input on which OpCo you would be most interested in working for. If selected through the initial review process you will go through onsite and virtual interviews. If selected as a top candidate you will be provided an offer of employment with one of your top three OpCo’s. All candidates will start their full-time employment as of June 2024.

    Selection Track

    Based on background, education, and experience, you will be assigned a track and will have opportunities to gain in-depth knowledge in one of these three lines of business.

    Requirements

      • Degree in Mining or Civil Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent industry experience
      • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products

    Compensation Range:

    $70,000 - $80,000

    with Short Term Incentive Program Bonus eligibility
