Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Materials Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for data collection, quality control, and construction inspection tasks. This is a great opportunity for individuals with a background in asphalt roadway and concrete field testing. Candidate needs to be able to do general computer work in Microsoft Word and Excel. Candidate must be able to be on time and communicate well with clients and other employees.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Valid Driver's License with clean motor vehicle record
- High School Diploma
- Nuclear Safety Certification
- ACI Level I Concrete Field Testing
- Asphalt Roadway Technician
- Asphalt Lab Technician

Skills:

- Ability to maintain equipment and follow all safety rules and practices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including conflict resolution
- Ability to create and maintain accurate and confidential records
- Ability to physically lift up to 50 lbs. to shoulder height and agility on a construction site
- Strong computer literacy with math and science skills

- Read and understand construction plans

Responsibilities

• Conduct quality control inspections on construction materials to ensure compliance with standards.
• Collect and analyze data from tests performed on concrete and masonry samples.
• Collaborate with construction teams on-site to monitor adherence to specifications.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections and test results, utilizing computer skills for data entry.
• Communicate effectively with project managers and contractors to address any quality concerns.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols during testing procedures.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
