Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Control Panel Builder to join our team. This role involves assembling, wiring, and troubleshooting industrial control panels while adhering to industry standards. The successful candidate will be familiar with PLCs, frequency drives, circuit protection, and will also handle some shipping and receiving duties, as well as inventory management and kit preparation. The position requires about 10% travel to customer locations for the installation of control systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Control Panel Assembly: Assemble and wire control panels according to engineering schematics and layout drawings.
- Electrical Wiring: Mount and wire components such as relays, transformers, circuit breakers, PLCs, and frequency drives.
- Testing & Troubleshooting: Test and troubleshoot control panels to ensure they function correctly.
- Inventory Management: Obtain parts from inventory, pull parts from stock based on a bill of materials, and prepare kits for assembly.
- Shipping & Receiving: Handle shipping and receiving tasks for parts related to control panels.
- Installation Support: Travel to customer locations for installation and support of control systems (approximately 10% travel).
- Compliance: Ensure all work complies with UL508A standards and NEC (National Electrical Code) requirements.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in electrical technology is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in control panel building or industrial electrical work.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
- Strong understanding of PLCs, frequency drives, and circuit protection.
- Familiarity with UL508A standards and NEC requirements.
- Experience with inventory management and shipping/receiving tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Pay: $20.64 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 55 per week
