Materials Management Technician I

    Shift: 1st 8:00am-4:00pm
     
    JOB SUMMARY:
     
    Under the direction of the Director of Materials Management, the Materials Management Tech I performs physical and inventory-related tasks involving receiving, storage, delivery, inventory and replenishment of supplies and equipment used throughout the organization.  May perform mailroom functions, courier services, print shop services, support/fill in for Materials Management Tech II, as needed.       
                                                    

    ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Delivers and/or replenishes office, medical or surgical supplies, equipment and furniture to all departments within the hospital complex.  Responsible for auto replenishment on the nursing units.
     
    Receives all incoming equipment supplies and furniture. Verifies records and processes all related paperwork.  Processes and prepares all returns.
     
    Reports low inventory levels.  Assists with total inventory counts.
     
    Responsible for courier service, as needed.  Includes daily in/out going mail, bank deposits, specialty items at local vendors and off-site deliveries.
     
    QUALIFICATIONS:
     
        Education:    High school graduate or equivalent required. 
                            Valid driver license required
     
        Experience:   Previous experience in Materials Management preferred
                            Computer experience preferred
