Forecasting Specialist - Materials Management

  • Job Description

    The FLEx center is a new multi-modality (small molecule, biologics, vaccine) Drug Product development and GMP clinical manufacturing plant in Rahway, New Jersey. The role at the Specialist level will be responsible for analyzing monthly forecasts and assessing current inventory to identify excipients and components that need to be purchased. The forecasting specialist will ensure that purchased excipients and components are received and released for use prior to the requestors need by date. Additionally, the forecasting specialist will manage vendor relationships and ensure that documented supply chains are kept accurate and up to date. The successful candidate will work cross functionally with partner groups including Operations, Formulations, Analytical and Quality. Additional responsibilities include investigation of deviations and updating local area procedures. The role is based in Rahway, New Jersey and reports to the Materials Management Lead within the FLEx Oral Solid Dosage Team.

    Education Minimum Requirement:

    • Bachelor’s in a scientific or engineering discipline with a minimum with 2 years of relevant experience

    Required Experience and Skills:

    • Knowledge of sterile drug product manufacturing or development.

    • Evidence of good oral and written communication skills, i.e., effective presentation of concepts and ideas, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.

    • Basic understanding of GMPs and Good Documentation Practices.

    • Attention to detail, flexibility, and ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.

    • Knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems.

    Desired Experience and Skills:

    • Experience in forecasting or procurement in the Pharmaceutical or related industries.

    • Experience with SAP.

    • Problem-solving skills.

    U.S. Hybrid Work Model

    Effective September 5, 2023, employees in office-based positions in the U.S. will be working a Hybrid work consisting of three total days on-site per week, generally Tuesday, Wednesday and either Monday or Thursday, although the specific days may vary by site or organization, with Friday designated as a remote-working day, unless business critical tasks require an on-site presence. This Hybrid work model does not apply to, and daily in-person attendance is required for, field-based positions; facility-based, manufacturing-based, or research-based positions where the work to be performed is located at a Company site; positions covered by a collective-bargaining agreement (unless the agreement provides for hybrid work); or any other position for which the Company has determined the job requirements cannot be reasonably met working remotely. Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate’s relevant skills, experience, and education.

    Expected salary range:

    $83,100.00 - $130,900.00
