    Job Description

    About DTMB:
    The Department of Technology, Management and Budget supports the business operations of state agencies through a variety of services, including building management and maintenance, information technology, centralized contracting and procurement, budget and financial management, space planning and leasing, construction management, motor vehicle fleet operations, and oversight of the state retirement systems.

    About this position:
    The employee will carry out a range of professional property analyst assignments while learning the methods, processes and procedures, and State of Michigan rules and statutory requirements related to all real estate transactions. This position assists with continued process development and improvement, projecting current and future space needs for our customer, revenue generation, and strategic planning. The person in this position will learn and serve as a department liaison and assist with agency partnership meetings for an assigned agency(s) to promote and improve customer service and enhance portfolio management practices to better serve the State of Michigan’s real estate portfolio.

    Position Location:
    This position is located in Lansing, MI. This position may work a hybrid (remote/office) schedule with 2 days required in the office per week. Selected candidates who have been approved to work a hybrid schedule must complete that work within Michigan. Candidates should confirm work location and schedule at the time of interview.

    the entry (9) level through the maximum rate at the advanced (12) level.

    Based on education and experience, candidates will be reviewed to determine

    what level they are qualified for.


    Required Education and Experience

    Education for Property Analyst 9-12

    Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.

    Experience for Property Analyst 9-12

    Property Analyst 9

    No specific type or amount is required.

    Property Analyst 10

    One year of professional experience in real estate equivalent to a Property Analyst 9.

    Property Analyst P11

    Two years of professional experience in real estate equivalent to a Property Analyst, including one year equivalent to a Property Analyst 10.

    Property Analyst 12

    Three years of professional experience in real estate equivalent to a Property Analyst, including one year equivalent to a Property Analyst P11.

    Education and Experience Property Analyst (Trainee) 9

    Education

    Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school.

    Administrative Support Experience

    Two years of E10- or E11-level experience.

    OR

    Four years of advanced or supervisory 9-level, or Senior Executive Management Assistant 9 experience.

    OR

    Two years of advanced or supervisory 10-level experience.

    OR

    One year of advanced or supervisory 11-level (or higher) experience.

    Business and Administrative Experience

    Two years of E9- or E10-level experience.

    Vacation and Sick Leave: Eligible full-time employees receive between 15 and 35 personal days and 13 sick days per year that may be rolled over to the following year if not used. Eligible employees also receive an additional day each year for community service or school functions.

    Paid Parental Leave: Eligible employees can take 12 weeks of paid leave immediately after a birth or adoption to allow needed time together at home with a new child.

    Paid Holidays: Eligible employees receive 13 or 14 paid holidays each year including New Year’s Eve and Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents’ Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, the Fourth of July, Labor Day, Election Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving Friday, Christmas Eve and Day.
